Clark Peak (12,951)
Difficult D
Clark Peak is the high point of the Rawah Wilderness portion of the Medicine Bow Range in northern Colorado. This trip will start at the Blue Lake trailhead on Colorado Highway 14. We will follow the Blue Lake trail past Blue Lake to the saddle between Cameron Peak and Clark Peak. Then, we will follow the northeast ridgeline to the summit of Clark Peak. From there, we will continue along the south ridge to a saddle at 12,200’, where we will turn east and descend into the Fall Creek drainage. After passing an un-named lake at 11,500’, we will bushwhack northeast to rejoin the Blue Lake trail. This trip will offer relative solitude in a beautiful area, a long ridgeline traverse above treeline, three natural alpine lakes and a good chance to see wildlife. Must register directly with leader, Ward Whicker.

Mt Lady Washington (13,281 feet)
Moderate D
Mt Lady Washington offers fantastic views of the “Diamond” on Long’s Peak, Mt. Meeker and down to Chasm Lake. We will start at the Long’s Peak trailhead and take the trail to Chasm Junction. From there we will ascend the steep east ridge of Mt Lady Washington. This is challenging class 2 terrain but covered in boulders so it is takes some effort to reach the summit. After enjoying the views from the summit, we will descend the North Ridge to Granit Pass and make our way back to the Long’s Peak trail for our return trip. Hike Distance: 10+ miles. Elevation gain: 3900 feet. Drive Distance: 100 miles. USGS Quad: Longs Peak. Register with leader: Mark Lorie, xxx-xxx-xxxx, xxx@xxx
