Course: Basic Mountaineering

Contact: Gordan Thibedeau

This course teaches participants the skills needed to safely hike and climb mountains up to 14,000 feet elevation under most weather conditions.

This course is typically taught in the spring and summer starting in April with lectures and field trips that are completed by the end of May. However this course is not taught every year.   There is a student scheduled graduation climb to be completed sometime in June through August.

If you are interested in becoming a mountaineer we encourage you to contact Gordan for more details and to be placed on the interested students list.
